Olympic Relay You Say?

Hello!
So whether you're a sporting fan or not, you will have known that the Olympic flame is being relayed around the UK! Living in Norwich, I had the opportunity to go and see it. Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich, put on a stage show for at least 20,000 people. This included music from Morning Parade (new love) and little sets from the official Olympic Sponsers Lloyds TSB, Coca Cola and Samsung and a performance from The Pulse. The Pulse consisted of young people between the ages of 12-14 from around Norwich. One performance was a song called Carry The Flame. Drummers and guitarists filled the stage. The next performance was made up of dancers, gymnastics, hula hoopist and a martial artist, my boyfriend! Yes that's right, my super talented boyfriend Matthew performed and went down in history!

You can view the video of the full 10 minute performance here on YouTube.

Norwich was packed and with that came an amazing atmosphere. There was thousands of people that came to support their country and their people who do so much for their community.
Here are some pictures below.

Olympic flame!

If you want to see the rest of the pictures, I will put them onto my Flickr and post the link here.

I knew 2 people that were running in the relay, Jess and Josh. I had to have my picture with them in their uniform!

After the stage show, a lovely kind woman was letting people have pictures with her torch. We all took the opportunity and I held the torch! It looks like it weighed a lot but it has 8,000 holes representing the 8,000 torch bearers for the London 2012 Olympics.

Did you watch the torch come through your home town?
