Lights4fun

Hello!
With being only just a few steps away from living in my own place with my boyfriend, my hunger to buy all things home wear is probably getting a little out of hand (to say the least)! My daily Tesco trips during lunch break consists of a dash straight to the home section to grab the latest bargains and then detour via the seasonal isle to check out the reduced items before heading to the tills to pay for my treasured goods. The same goes for other superstores that sell home wear such as Asda and Sainsburys. It goes to say that once I get into my own place, it’s going to be a special one.
Where I currently work, we hold our email marketing software with an international growing company called dotmailer. With head offices all over the world including New York, they are bound to be dealing with major companies. I received an email from dotmailer themselves with a couple of interesting articles regarding email marketing and one really caught my eye. It was about a case study with an up and coming company called Lights4fun. Lights4fun are a company that started off selling Christmas lights and decorations. Now they have expanded their horizons and sell lights, decorations and accessories no matter what time of year it is! I fell in love with the photography and massive array of products they have on offer (and the prices are very purse friendly).
Of course, I had to have some LED candles, garlands and bunting for Halloween. There’s me thinking about 12 months into the future when our new place is bare for Halloween so of course, I had to put a couple of items in there!
I chose the Black Glossy Garland with Purple Bats - http://www.lights4fun.co.uk/i/q/HW00017/black-glossy-ceiling-garland-with-purple-bats-25m

As One Door Closes, Another Opens.

Hello!
Yes, I have been away for a very long time but personal and professional life that just took over. I was made unemployed in early April and currently looking for work in East and/or West Sussex due to the boyfriend getting into university in Hove.

Anyway, I am hoping to get back into blogging which will keep me busy and I do miss it. I have included a few pictures over the recent months!

Happy Mothers Day!

Arrived at De Vere Group hotel and my room looked like this! Perfect!
This post has been in my drafts for such a long while and I never took up the chance to actually publish it. After being unemployed for 2 months, it has taught me a few things that I want to share with you guys. Being on job seekers allowance, you get £57.14 a week. For me, I don't have important house bills to pay so the only things I pay for is phone, car insurance and any other extras (bloody car)! It's hard to go from a full time wage to this slightly smaller amount. I used to buy lots of make up, clothes and everything in-between but since the massive cut in pay, it definitely makes you more money savvy. I am now only buying things that I NEED. Most of my money (if not all) is spent on petrol. Rather than filling up a full £35, I only put what I need in depending where I'm going. When I do buy the unnecessary items like food, I tend to buy what's on offer or on sale.

UPDATE 11th July 2014
After nearing 10 interviews and hundreds of miles later, last Thursday I was offered a position with a company based in West Sussex. I now have a start date and am now looking for places to live! The emotional rollercoaster ride still carries on but perseverance is a must. Keep going, keep looking to the stars and keep at it. It will be your time soon.

Not Another Iced Coffee Recipe?!

Hello!

As the summer is looming and the days are getting hotter, there's nothing better than to sit down in the sun with a cool drink. To ensure that you still get your coffee fix no matter what time of the day it is, I have conjured up an iced coffee recipe that doesn't just taste good but looks super luxurious too!

To make this iced coffee you will need:

Water

1. Pour the Camp Coffee into your chosen glass (my glass is from Zara Home). Depending on how strong you like your coffee, you decide how much to put in. Camp Coffee is quite strong on it's own so a little goes a long way!

2. Add the Cadbury dusting to the coffee. Add as much or as little as you like.

3. Fill the glass with 2/4 milk and a dash of water. Make sure that you leave room for the next bit!

4. Lather the coffee mixture with squirty cream. The more the better!

5. Dust some of the Cadbury chocolate dusting on top of the squirty cream.

6. Add your choice of sprinkles to the cream. I used the chocolate strands and flakes but the choice is yours. Make it colourful and use hundreds and thousands or go a little more luxurious and add white chocolate. You could also use finely chopped nuts to give it a bit of texture!

GULP AND ENJOY!
